Day 13: Friday, December 4th, 2009

35 Minutes easy run
Still very sore in the hamstrings but feeling better.

Nice Cold morning but glad to be done with the workout.

    Failing to do this workout yesterday, I decided to do it today since it is one of the most important workouts of the week.

    3 miles @ 6:20 pace | actual: 6:48/mile avg.
    2 x 800m @ 2:47 pace (200m rest) | actual: 2:58, 3:06 pace

    I still have a long way to go in order to be able to run a 1:23:00 half. Even though I'm only 13 days into the training, I'm starting to wonder if I'll be able to get there by January 24th.

  2. We have 7 weeks to go on the training. The good news is that if we don't make it, we can use it as a stepping stone for the half in March which is also able to be used as a qualifier for NYC. Stay positive. It's a process. Also, there more training that is done, the harder it'll be to ramp up for each workout. Especially as you've jump started your training from an "off the wagon" position you claimed to have been in.
