Nice mild late November day in Marlton, NJ. Ran for 1:28.46 in my neighborhood with Cara. Was running purely for time and didn't calculate mileage or distance.
Big win by the Eagles over the Redskins.
Planning to take a rest day from running tomorrow. Will try to do a modified crossfit workout consisting of 10 pull ups, 20 push ups, 30 sit ups, 40 bodyweight squats x 4.

Long Run | 9 Miles | Central Park
ReplyDeleteI had a chicken cheesesteak for lunch and the last thing I wanted to do was go for a long run. After taking a nap and stepping out on my balcony and feeling the almost 60 degree, sunny weather, I motivated.
I ran from my apartment to the Southwest corner of Central Park (Columbus Circle) and from there around the Park once, staying on the bridal paths as much as possible to go easy on the feet and knees. I'm not exactly sure of my pace, but I believe my lap was just over 40 minutes so that should put me somewhere between 6:30 and 6:50 per mile (which seems really fast for me so not sure if I saw correctly). After the lap, I ran back to my apartment.
Pace: Easy
Total Distance: 9 miles
Plan for tomorrow is to run yesterday's workout (which I skipped to play two hours of squash instead) - 6 miles easy and 4 x 100m sprints.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention my total mileage for the week was 26 miles. I know I'm not supposed to ramp up my mileage too quickly, but I'd really like to be averaging around 40 miles per week.
